  2.                              HOW TO USE PRINTFILES
  3.                            *************************

  5.     This is a short file to explain how to use the PrintFile utilities,
  6.     whose icons are below this one.  We shall also explain how to print
  7.     individual files.
  8.  
  9.     PrintFiles, when double-clicked, will print out all the text files on
  10.     MEGADISC consecutively, and depending on how you set up your printing
  11.     Preferences, will amount to about 35 pages. So if you do want to use it,
  12.     I would suggest that you set your Preferences to 12-elite (the second
  13.     type size), 8 lines per inch, and draft quality; and extend your margins
  14.     to about 10 (left margin) and 115 (right margin) - this is just to fit
  15.     more onto a page.  And of course, have your printer turned on with paper
  16.     in it.

  18.     SingleDrive.PrintFiles will perform the same task, but before
  19.     double-clicking the icon you must load the TYPE command into RAM:. Load
  20.     Workbench, enter the CLI and type:
  21.                                       1> copy c/type to ram:  (return).
  22.     Close the CLI by typing EndCLI, then remove your Workbench, insert
  23.     MEGADISC and select its icon.  When the MEGADISC window appears
  24.     double-click the SingleDrive.PrintFiles icon, and follow the requestor
  25.     instructions - you'll have to make a couple of swaps before printing
  26.     begins.  At any time you can abort the print by re-booting, ie. press
  27.     CTRL-A-A.

  29.     *NB. While all the textfiles are being printed you can still play around
  30.     with the various things on MEGADISC, ie. make use of the multi-tasking
  31.     capabilities of this great computer!!

  33.     If you want to print a certain file, e.g. "UsingCLI" in the "CLIStuff"
  34.     drawer, and have only one disk drive, go into the CLI on the WorkBench,
  35.     type:
  36.          1> copy c/type RAM:
  37.     then, while staying in the CLI, replace MEGADISC and enter:
  38.          1> ram:type megadisc:clistuff/usingcli to prt:
  39.     and the printer will churn it out.
  40.     For a two-drive system, instead of typing the above, you could enter:
  41.          1> type df1:clistuff/usingcli to prt:
  42.     provided the WorkBench is in the internal drive, and MEGADISC is in the
  43.     external drive.
